Only handle the unprotected drive when you are grounded, like touching the computer's metal case. The water in Elmer's glue could easily short out the low-voltage circuits, at least until it dries. I would avoid "sparkly" glue as well. Hot melt glue would work well and it's ready to go as soon as it cools.
